Establishing Habits for a Productive Life


Hi, I’m Shaine, and welcome to The 5 A.M. Alarm!

I’m a student at Stanford University majoring in Film & Media Studies. I’m actively involved in the small but vibrant film community here on campus, and I also enjoy working as a Junior Class President alongside five incredible students to plan and host events for Stanford’s Class of 2014.  In the future, I aspire to work in the film industry, hopefully as an AD.

When I’m not working or studying, I can be found losing my balance in Bikram yoga, running in vibrams, making vegetarian meals, and always, at the end of the day, curling up with a good film (most likely from the sixties or seventies…and probably foreign. Or art house.). I live in a co-op – a close-knit, vegetarian community of 50 students that spend much of their time eating, cleaning, and learning together.

My life is busy, but I’ve always strived to make it stress-free.  I try not to let my work stop me from eating right, living well, and staying active. Join me as I try to figure out how to make the most of every day, both in work and relaxation, all the while remaining happy and well-fed.
